Westmorland Conservatives launched their petition to stop the development of New Road car park in Kendal.  Despite widespread concern from the local community, the Liberal controlled SLDC are determined to push ahead with this development.  Westmorland Conservatives are listening to the people. The people do not want to lose this last area of free parking in Kendal.  Visitors to the Westmorland SHow were eager to sign this petition.  We collected over 350 signatures for this petition, and we will continue to get people to sign it.

The arsoned HQ of Westmorland Conservatives has been been covered in scaffolding since the fire, blocking one carriageway of Stricklandgate.  We were delighted to see the scaffolding has been removed, opening up both lanes of the oneway system and reducing pressure on traffic in central Kendal.  We thank local residents for their patience as the police enquiry continues.
