Taylor Hulme’s Community Sign Cleaning Initiative
Keeping our towns and villages looking their best is something we can all take pride in. Over time, many road, street, and public-facing signs across Westmorland and Lonsdale have become dirty or difficult to read. While it may seem like a small issue, these details make a real difference to how our communities look and feel.
To help address this, we’re launching a Community Sign Cleaning Initiative, starting this May and taking place on weekends.
This is a simple, practical way for residents to come together and make a visible improvement across our local area.
How You Can Get Involved
There are three easy ways to take part:
1. Join a Local Clean-Up Day
We’ll be organising small volunteer groups across different areas. It’s a great opportunity to meet others and make a positive contribution.
2. Flag Signs That Need Cleaning
Know a sign that needs attention? Let us know by completing our quick online form.

3. Get in Touch

Every Contribution Counts
Even small efforts can make a big difference. With enough people involved, we can quickly improve the appearance of our streets and public spaces.
If you’re unable to attend a clean-up day, simply submitting a few locations through the form is still incredibly helpful.
Thank you for your support—we hope you’ll get involved.
