Conservative Group letter to local residents

James Airey and Tom Harvey (Conservative Group leader and Deputy) have written an open letter to all residents in South Lakeland Area regarding the proposed LDF & 6000 homes. In it they explain our oppoistion to the plans and give further details to local people about the decision process which has been undertaken by the Liberal Democrat District Council. This letter has been signed by all Conservative Councillors and represents the groups view on this matter.

Westmorland Conservatives celebrate removal of scaffolding from arsoned building

The arsoned HQ of Westmorland Conservatives has been been covered in scaffolding since the fire, blocking one carriageway of Stricklandgate.  We were delighted to see the scaffolding has been removed, opening up both lanes of the oneway system and reducing pressure on traffic in central Kendal.  We thank local residents for their patience as the police enquiry continues.

Westmorland Conservatives welcome David Cameron

David Cameron was in Cumbria last week, and Westmorland Conservatives were invited to meet the Prime Minister at an evening talk in Carlisle.  Mr Cameron spent the day in Rory Stewart's Border constituency before spending time with John Stephenson Conservative MP for Carlisle.
