My professional experience includes twenty-two years of Headships at two large Independent Boarding Schools in Lancashire. On retirement, I was appointed as a lay Member of the First Tier Tribunal Service, member of the SLDC Independent Remuneration Panel, a member of Cumbria Probation Board, (Chairman 2008-12) and in 2012 was elected as Cumbria’s first Police and Crime Commissioner as the Conservative candidate. Additionally, I served as a Justice of the Peace for 33 years in Lytham, Fleetwood and Barrow. I was Chairman of the Cumbria Conservative Association from 2017-21.
I see my role in the Association, as one to offer my experience to support the Officers and Team Members in revitalising the influence and activities of the Conservative Party in the Westmorland and Lonsdale Constituency and Cumbria as whole.
